The Thailand International Cricket Sixes kicked off in glorious sunshine much to the relief of the 16 participating teams from 7 countries. The hosts Southereners took on the motley crew of the CBB 'SA's in the first game of the day, which turned out to be a one sided affair with Gaurav starring for the Southerners with a 1 for 4 bowling spell.
Later in the day, the Fu Wang Ramblers from Bangladesh impressed everyone with their two wins. It does help that the have in their ranks, Bangladeshi's first ever captain- Naimur Rahman, who retired with 31 runs against the Southerners.
New comers M.S.Sports from Delhi were not tested in their only game against CBB Asia Stars, but look like they might go all the way on Sunday with their young team.
The only major upset of the day was Skylark from Kuwait losing to the Pattaya Stallions who were impressive in both their wins today. Holders Lanka Lions played MG7 in the last game of the day and seem determined to keep the cup
The noticable individual performances for the day were Kushal who retired after scoring 30 runs for the Lanka Lions and Ajith, who also retired after scoring 30 runs for the Desert Cubs and of course CBB Reject got out for a first ball duck and was a popular feature of the day. Day 2 kicks off at the Harrow International School ground at 9:00 am!
